Central MS Regional Library System has an opening for a Branch Manager to fill a part time position (16 hours) at a rate of $10.00 per hour for the Sebastopol Public Library in Sebastopol, MS.

Library Branch Managers are responsible for all aspects of branch library operations including, but not limited to, physical plant, materials, programming, community contacts, accounting, and monthly reports.

  • An Associate’s degree and previous library work experience is preferred.
  • Excellent management, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • The Branch Manager must be able to deal effectively with the public, city officials, and other employees.
  • The candidate must be computer literate and be able to lift from 30 – 40 pounds.

Polkville Public Library – Branch Manager

Central Mississippi Regional Library System has an opening for a Branch Manager to fill a 12 hour position at the Polkville Public Library in Polkville, MS. The rate of pay for this position is $10.00 per hour. Magee Public Library – Full Time Children’s Specialist

Central MS Regional Library System has an opening for a full time (40 hours/week) Children’s Specialist position at the Magee Public Library in Magee, Mississippi. This Full Time position is responsible for all aspects of services to children and youth in the branch library. All job responsibilities are performed under the supervision of the Branch Manager and the Coordinator of Youth Services.

Minimum Qualification:

  1. Bachelors Degree in Education or Early Childhood Development is preferred. Knowledge of children’s literature, current library practices, and technology is preferred.
  2. A minimum of two to three years of work experience with children is required.
  3. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
  4. Knowledge of and experience with computers.

This position has an annual salary of $18,000.00 plus benefits.

The Youth Services Librarian Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of services to children and youth in the branch libraries. All job responsibilities are performed under the supervision of the Branch Manager and Coordinator of Youth Services.

Minimum qualifications:
